ROMANS 9:1-24 – GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE

INTRODUCTION:

I think that as a Christian the most important thing we can first accomplish in our life is to find God’s plan for our life. If we seek God early to find his plan it could save us many heartaches and much suffering. Sometimes God has to send things our way to get us to come into his perfect will for our life.

Could you imagine today if you knew God’s perfect plan and his perfect will for your life. First we need to trust and know that God loves us and that he only wants the best for us. But also we need to know God have a plan for our life and we must fulfill that plan otherwise our life will be constantly and continually in turmoil as God is trying to position us for his best blessings and best plan for our life.

V11-13 – GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR BIRTH

Psa 139:14  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psa 139:15  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Psa 139:16  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Psa 139:17  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Jer 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jer 1:6  Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

Jer 1:7  But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Jer 1:8  Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

Rom 8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

V14-16 – GOD’S PASSION FOR YOUR LIFE

Exo 33:18-19  And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

Jer 29:11-13  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Psa 139:17  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Psa 139:18  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Isa 55:8-11  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

V17-18 – GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR SUCCESS

Josh 1:6  Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Josh 1:7  Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

Josh 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Josh 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Isa 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isa 1:19  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Deu 29:29  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

2 Chr 20:20  Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

V19-24 – GOD’S PROVIDENCE FOR YOUR JOURNEY

Jacob called on God and God kept him

Elijah was fed by the ravens and at the brook and fed by the widow woman

3 Hebrew Children in the fire

Jesus was with Stephen when he was stoned

Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

CONCLUSION:

7130 One day to live

Had I but this one day to live, One day to love, one day to give,

One day to work and watch and raise my voice to God in joyous praise,

One day to succor those in need, pour healing balm on hearts that bleed,

Or wipe the tears from sorrow’s face, and hearten those in sad disgrace.

I’d spend O God much time with thee that thou might’st plan my day for me,

Most earnestly I’d seek to know the way that thou would’st have me go,

For thous alone canst see the heart, thous knowest man’s most inward part
